Hard Work Pays Off

Since I was little, I've always been surrounded by motivated, determined, committed, and hard working people.(My Family)
You realize that in life, that hard work applies everywhere, especially if you have dreams and goals. Hard Work is something that is literally in my blood. It's been like that since I was 2 years, when I fell in love with Basketball. I knew what I've wanted to do with Basketball since i was in 4th grade, that's where the hard work started, a Persian kid from Beverly Hills that had a dream, scratch that, a future in the NBA.

Growing up, watching my dad waking up at 5 am, to go to work 7 days a week is crazy to me. My father was the one who motivated me and told me that to be successful and to get to your dreams it takes pure hard work day in and day out. Being told this in 7th grade would be a little hard to understand but I finally got it in 9th grade when I woke up everyday at 5 am to go workout by myself or with a friend on the court or track. Believe me that took a lot of motivation to get up while it's still dark outside. I have been doing that 4 years at BHHS. That's not even the half of it. I also practiced with the team, even staying after to do more, going home afterwords, doing your homework and eating, then going to the gym for a late night work out.

Hard work changed my life, I don't know where I would be if I didn't work hard. Its taught me so much its crazy.
It taught me that
1.Nothing in life comes easy
2.Everything you earn you cherish
3.How to be confident, focused, determined, and committed
4.Most importantly it has taught me that success takes patience.

Success doesn't happen over night, it varies on how hard you work. Every successful person I look up to, has worked hard to get to where there are.

Every person is different, it honestly matters, How bad do you want to achieve your goals and get to your dream?
Me personally, how bad I want it depends on how hard I work, that's why I work out 2-4 times a day. I want it so bad that I love to work to get closer to my goals. I keep my mind on it everyday, I even wake up and go to bed thinking about it, and I remind myself every second what I'm working for.

Sure its easy to say "I want it so fucking bad."
Wheres the heart and hard work?
Wishing wont you get you to your dreams. There's millions of people that want the same thing as you.
Are you going to separate yourself from those people who just wish, talk, and give up, or are you going to be the one who works hard and has the patience/courage to wait for there dream to come.

There might be millions of people around the world trying to do the same thing as you, but the question is...
Do they have the mental and patience you have?

Most people that pursue there dreams, and fail, just give up and let it go.

That's how you know they don't want it, because if I fail 10 times I will never give up. I was raised to know that who ever "gives up" is a bitch. Because you gave up, you quit, you let go of your dreams, so your gonna stoop down to something you don't want to do, and drag yourself every day to do it. But deep down your beating yourself up because you gave up, and you're mad because you're not strong enough to pick yourself up and go at it till you make it.

When I tell people about my future in the NBA, the first thing they say is "get a plan B"
Why?

I feel like plan B's are for people who aren't confident, who doubt themselves, and people who just truly don't believe in themselves, which is really embarrassing.

You want me to give up on something I love and die for and go do something I don't give a shit about. HELL NO, that makes no sense
or are your probably going to say its impossible, you'll never do it, or the classic "Millions of people are trying to go to the NBA"
LOL..theres millions of people trying to become doctors and lawyers too.

In life..the key to success is hard work. If you want something, it takes hard work. It's all on you now on how hard your going to work for what you want.

I made this post today because I want to let everyone know that if you love something in life, don't hold yourself back from it, pursue it, don't be a bitch and back down. Don't fool yourself your whole life not doing what you love to do. Follow your heart, follow your dreams, and never give up. Stay patient and when it gets tough and you want to quit, DON'T!! Hold it together and fight it though because G-D is testing you to see how strong you are, and how bad you want it.

"Don't ever waste a day in your not doing what you love to do"

"Some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it.”

“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe."
